About Acme
What we sell
Acme is a subscription website monitoring service. You tell us which addresses to watch; we check them from our own servers every 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on your plan, and notify you the moment a response changes.
What a paying customer receives
- Continuous checks of uptime, response time, page content, SSL certificates, domain registration dates, DNS records and TCP ports.
- Alerts by email, Telegram, Slack, Discord and signed webhooks, with quiet hours and repeat rules.
- Uptime history and incident records, kept for 7 to 365 days depending on the plan.
- Public status pages, optionally on the customer's own domain and without our branding.
- Uptime reports that can be scheduled and sent straight to their own clients.
- A REST API on higher plans.
The service is delivered entirely online and access begins immediately after payment. There is nothing to ship and nothing to download.
Who it is for
Web studios, freelancers and small agencies who look after sites they did not build and cannot watch all day. The product is shaped around that: rename services for the client, put a status page on the client's domain, send a monthly uptime report without remembering to.
How we work
One failed request never raises an alert. Every failure is re-checked 30 seconds later, we verify our own connectivity before believing a failure at all, and if more than a third of everything we watch fails at once we assume the fault is ours, hold the alerts and wake our own operators instead.
We monitor only addresses our customers are entitled to monitor, we rate-limit how often we contact any single site, and we publish the IP addresses and user agent our checker uses so anyone can identify or block it.
